Participation in SJV Basketball is open to all Parish youth members who are registered in Family Formation Programming or Parish school students in grades 5 - 8.  All registered children are placed on a team.  In 5th - 6th grades, teams are split equally among talent.  In grades 7th - 8th, teams are split into A and B levels.

Team practices start the week after team splits.  Coaches will contact their team with weekly practice days and times.  Games start in December and finish at the end of February.  Games are scheduled in Archdiocese area gyms on Saturdays as well as Sundays.

St. John Vianney Shamrocks participate in the Notre Dame Don Bosco League.  Team schedules can be found on their web page.

Uniforms will be distributed during practices.  Uniforms are to be returned by the athlete or parent during a uniform collection time.  If the uniform is not returned, families will be charged a fee to cover the replacement of the uniform.
